“Beringpromugol”, the resident of ASEZ “Chukotka”, transferred money to the regional public organization “Association of indigenous small-numbered peoples of Chukotka” to implement several social-oriented projects in the city of Beringovsky in 2019.
Local residents had some concerns whether the city had enough funding to take care of the Lakhtin Lagoon environment, creation of the local children theatre section and organization of the sport and cultural festival “Einev”. As a result, they appealed to the TIG’s companies, which already supported local initiatives two years in the row.
The Working group emphasized its attention on the projects objectives, their time period and population coverage. Beringovsky residents Nadezhda Gordienko, Elena Tretinnikova and Valentina Egylgina, along with their applications, were considered the best ones. They have to report on projects completed to the Working group until October.
Application campaign started in January 2019 after the chief executive officer Dmitry Gavrilin and the president of association Anna Otke met in TIG Moscow office and the later presented some projects. The Working group gathered in February in the city of Beringovsky for the first time, where preliminary agreed to fund some important social projects and to confirm them in late May. Working group consists of TIG's representatives and indigenous peoples.
