“Beringpromugol” mined its 1 000 000th tonnes of black coal on project “F” of North Amaam deposit. TIG has reached this outstanding result due to the numerous investments into the project of producing coking and thermal coals, its residency in the Advanced Special Economic Zone “Chukotka” and support from Chukotka government.
In 2017, the coal production at project “F” was 249 thousand tonnes and this number increased 2.5 times, resulting in 576 thousand tonnes in 2018. JORC measured, indicated and confirmed 110.6 mln tonnes of the black coal reserves at Amaam North.
Company’s objective for 2019 is to extract 750 thousand tonnes of coal. The first vessel of this navigation “Densa Cougar” loaded and exported about 40 thousand tonnes of thermal coal to the Asian-Pacific market. The first load was processed on the new mobile crusher Komatsu-BR380JG, which was transported to Beringovsky this April.
TIG continuous its production on the current assets in Ammam North. Auxiliary investments will be made into their further exploration and development. TIG also works on improving its mechanical and technical recourses by acquiring new 100-tonnes dozers, excavators and load trucks. Two new 500-tonnes barges were built and launched in April in China, as well.
Gradually, the company achieves its objective to become the significant supplier of the high-quality coking coal from the world-class deposits to the seaborne markets.
