Tigers Realm Coal completed navigation in the port “Beringovsky”. The last vessel of the season “Region-87” left the waters of the Ugolnaya Bay on December 4.

In 2020, the records were set for the transshipment of coal and cargo over the 79-year history of the port's operation in Ugolnaya Bay. The previous maximum was 715 thousand tons in 1992.

The figure of this year is 760.2 thousand tons. The volume of coal shipped is 4.6 times higher than in 2017 (165 thousand tons), and 1.3 times higher than in 2019 (581 thousand tons). At the same time, the average daily loading rate in the port doubled compared to 2019 up to 8.3 thousand tons.

In 2020, the port workers handled 17 dry cargo ships, which took 736.4 thousand tons of coking and thermal coal for export, of which 157.6 thousand tons of coking coal and 578.8 thousand tons of energy coal.

China, Japan, Myanmar, Vietnam became consumers of coal from the Beringovsky coal basin. Also, 20 thousand tons of coal were shipped for the Chaunskaya Thermal Power Plant. In addition, the Port Ugolny company handled 8.8 thousand tons of general cargo from five ships, which were docked in the Ugolnaya Bay.

Thanks to the well-coordinated work of the team, it was possible not only to overfulfill the shipment plan set at the beginning of 2020, but also to set a historic record for coal shipment at the Beringovsky port.
