Beringovsky Port and its operator “Port Ugolny” opened Navigation-2020 on June 4. Two cargo ships “Anna-Barbara” and “Feronia” arrived to Ugolnaya Bay for offshore loading. The representatives from Rospotrebnadzor (Russian Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing), Borderguard and Custom Services began the clearance.
TIG follows all regulations from Rospotrebnadzor while being in the pandemia conditions. Two bulkers are expected to take 90 k/tons of thermal coal. Company plans to export over 600 thousand tons of coal in total. Also, TIG will keep supplying Chukotka regional market with thermal coal.

“Port Ugolny” is to load 12 bulkers as well as to handle general cargo for the needs of local organizations and residents. The Company has carried out its work on establishing reasonable rates for the processing of general cargo in Beringovsky Port, which led to their significant reduction.
TIG continuous preparations for the construction of the Coal Handling and Processing Plant, which enables the Company to sell a higher-value product of consistent quality to the Asian-Pacific market even withing the situation of falling coal prices.
Despite hard market conditions, within current crisis, “Beringpromugol” mined 221 868 tons of coal at “Project F” as of June 1, 2020, where 136 824 tons were extracted in the I quarter. Additionally, “Beringpromugol” and “Port Ugolny” were included in the list of Chukotka systemic companies.
