29.08.2019

It is already the second year when the Beringpromugol employees have been helping students from the Beringovsky township to meet September 1st  with new stationery kits. Mining craftsmen, drivers of bulldozers and excavators, drivers of loaders and dump trucks, mechanics and power engineers, accountants and economists, lawyers and ecologists, captains and sailors - all joined the regional campaign “Help to get ready for school”. In 2019, the team of “Port Ugolny” also joined this movement.

“Today, we handed over 528 different stationery for young students to the Center for Social Services of the Population - these are 22 complete school kits in total,” said Galina Vlasova, an environmental engineer at “Beringpromugol”, the initiator of this action among her colleagues. In 2018, “Beringpromugol” was the only organization in the Beringovsky township, which employees helped children from large and low-income families to get ready for school.

The Chukotka District Complex Center for Social Services of the Population has been carrying out the campaign “Help Get Ready for School” for ten years running from August 1 to August 31. Regional branches, including in Beringovsky township, support this action.
